 How To Update Samsung GT-I9235 Galaxy Golden LTE Firmware Version - Odin3 Firmware Package

The Samsung Galaxy Golden GT-I9235 was released in November 2013, It has Dual Touch Screens, The main one is 480 x 800 pixels, 3.7 inches, Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, And the external one is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 480 x 800 pixels, 3.5 inches.

The Galaxy Golden runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon 400, Dual-Core 1.7 GHz Krait CPU, And Adreno 305 GPU, The internal memory size is 16 GB, And 1.5 GB of RAM memory, Like any other new Samsung Android Smartphone, This one has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS support, The Galaxy Golden has two cameras, The main one is 8MP 3264 x 2448 pixels, With a lot of features, And front 1.9MP camera.

In this Guide we will explain the right way to update the firmware version of the Galaxy Golden GT-I9235, The firmware package that we will use here is an Official Samsung firmware package, It is Odin3 firmware package, And we will use a full firmware package, It contains four files, Bootloader, Modem, Platform (PDA), And CSC file, In addition we will use the PIT file of Samsung Galaxy Golden GT-I9235 (signed_KS02LTE_MEA_16G_V2_131009.pit).
Preparation Steps:
1- Check the current firmware of your mobile, You can check it from Setting > About Phone, Or you can use this easy code *#1234#
2- It is a good idea to write down your device current firmware version, It will be useful later, In case something goes wrong.
3- Charge your Galaxy Golden's battery to be at least at the 90% charge level.
4- Updating your mobile's firmware will delete everything from your device internal memory, So read this Guide to learn how you can make a backup of your important data (SMS, Contacts, Notes...etc).
5- In case you have an external memory card inserted into your Galaxy Golden, Then remove it.
6- Download the Samsung Galaxy Golden USB Driver, And install it, Then restart your computer.
7- Download Odin3 program (Original Android Flasher), Extract to your computer's desktop.
8- Download The Firmware package (GT-I9235), Select the version you want to install it on your Smartphone.
9- Extract the firmware package to a known location on your computer.
Odin3 Settings:
1- Double click on Odin3.exe to run it.
2- These settings must be checked: Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time.
3- If you have the PIT file of your Galaxy Golden GT-I9235, Then check: Re-Partition
Full Firmware Files Selection:
- Click on PIT button and select: signed_KS02LTE_MEA_16G_V2_131009.pit
- Click on BL button and select: BOOTLOADER_I9235xxxxxxx_...REV01_user_low_ship.tar
- Click on AP button and select: PLATFORM_I9235xxxxxxx_...REV01_user_low_ship.tar
- Click on CP button and select: MODEM_I9235xxxxxxx_...REV01_user_low_ship.tar
- Click on CSC button and select: CSC_Oxx_I9235Oxxxxxx_...REV01_user_low_ship.tar

Putting your GT-I9235 Galaxy Golden into Download Mode:
At this step you have to turn off your Samsung Galaxy Golden, Take out its battery and SIM card, Then read this Guide to put it in Download Mode, To be able to install the new firmware into your device you should put it into this mode.
Installing the new Firmware on your Samsung GT-I9235 Galaxy Golden Smartphone:
1- After you put your Smartphone into Download Mode, Use the USB cable to connect it to your computer.
2- You have to wait until Windows detects the device and installs any needed drivers.
3- Look at Odin3 program's window, If the program detects your connected device correctly, You should see its COM Port number (0:[COMxx]).
4- You are ready to install the new firmware files into your Samsung GT-I9235 Galaxy Golden, Click Start button to begin.
5- After you click the Start button, Odin3 program will start to install the selected firmware files on the connected device.
6- Odin3 program will restart your Galaxy Golden automatically after installing the firmware.
7- Wait until your Smartphone is restarted.
8- Look again at Odin3 program's window, If you see PASS! Word in green, Then the update was done successfully.
9- Disconnect your mobile.
10- When the mobile is fully on, Check the new installed firmware version.
11- Now you are ready to use the device, So reinsert the SIM and Memory cards, Restore your backup, And customize it.


Notices:
- You can update your device firmware version without using any PIT file, So use the PIT file only if you need to fix your device partitions.
- When you get one big file inside the firmware package, Then it should be selected as a AP file only, And do not check Re-Partition option or use PIT file at all.
